The Intense portafilter slows down the brewing time of the Handpresso portable espresso machine, to extract more flavours and aromas from the coffee. The portafilter has fewer holes than the standard filter and so slows the flow rate of espresso.
The Handpresso Instense portafilter is suitable for both models: the Wild ESE and Domepod version.
When we tested the Intense portafilter on the Wild ESE, we found that brewing took on average 7 seconds longer and the resulting espresso was on average 24% stronger compared to the standard filter.
