This is an ex-demonstrator machine. It has been used, but is in immaculate condition. It comes with all the original accessories and instructions, as well as 1 year's warranty.

Pablo is Ascaso's entry level espresso machine; however, it is designed with longevity in mind and fitted with the same high quality components as the other machines in their range. The fact that the Pablo is fitted with a brass boiler and grouphead and a solenoid valve sets it head and shoulders above other espresso machines in this price bracket; making the Pablo fantastic value for money.

The Pablo is not just well equipped, it is beautifully crafted too; a point that did not go unnoticed at the Ambiente Trade Fair (2008), where the Pablo was selected into their 'Trend Forum'. It has a small footprint, so is ideal for a kitchen with limited space (or if your partner is less appreciative of fine coffee it will give them less reason to complain). Despite its compact size, it performs like larger professional machines, packing a powerful 16 bar water pump for excellent coffee extraction and steaming ability.

Brass Boiler

Made from heat distributing brass, this boiler can get up to temperature quickly and stay there, with a fast recycling time. Unlike cheap aluminium boilers, it is more resistant to limescale build up and corrosion. Two thermostats control the temperature for espresso and for steam, and a third that specifically monitors the boiler to protect it form overheating.

Quality Brewing Group

The grouphead is made of chrome plated brass. Based on the design of Ascaso's commercial espresso machines, the Pablo grouphead evenly distributes heat and reduces 'hotspots' for a more consistent espresso. It has also been designed to dispense water uniformly across the coffee grounds for a better extaction.

16 Bar Water Pump

The secret to the perfect espresso is a water pump that generates enough pressure on the coffee grounds to extract the full flavour from them. The Pablo's pump performs excellently, producing 16 bar of pressure, unleashing all the coffee's delicate flavours.

Quality Portafilter

Keeping with the tradition of using only commercial grade components, the Pablo uses a heavy-duty chrome plated brass portafilter. The portafilter is fitted with a removable double spout; and is supplied with a single and double shot 57mm diameter stainless steel filter basket.

Cup Warmer and Drip Tray

The Pablo has a warming surface on top of the machine that keeps your espresso cups warm so your freshly brewed espresso does not cool too quickly once it hits the cup. Underneath is a removeable stainless steel drip tray for catching any mess you happen to make.

1.3 Litre Water Tank

For an espresso machine of this size, the Pablo is equipped with an ample size water tank. As it holds 1.3 litres of water the Pablo should not need refilling when in use. However, if you do need to, the water tank simply slides out for easy access.
