The Able Disk is a reusable stainless steel filter designed to be used with the Aerobie AeroPress Coffee Maker. It makes a great alternative to the AeroPress paper filters.
As the Able Disk is made from stainless steel, it allows more oils to pass into the cup than a paper filter, producing a fuller bodied coffee. It's also ideal for travelling because it's reusable, so you only need to carry one Disk as apposed to several paper filters.
The Able Disk is available in two options:
Standard: produces a fuller bodied cup with slightly more fines. The disc itself is thicker and should withstand many years of heavy use.
Fine: produces a very sweet clean cup of coffee with very little fines. The disc is a 1/3 thinner than the Standard filter and less durable and so should be handled with care as it can more easily be bent or damaged.
