How to place an Order

Placing an order could not be easier. Just browse through the different departments on our website, or type a keyword into our search facilities. Once you have found a product you wish to buy, click the "add to basket" button. You will then be able to select the quantity you wish to purchase (the default quantity is one). Next either: click "confirm", to add the product(s) to your shopping basket and continue shopping; or click "checkout now" to go straight to the checkout. If you do not want to add the product to your shopping basket click "cancel".

When you have finished adding products to your shopping basket, click "Checkout" (found along the purple bar at the top of every page). You will then be asked for a few details that we need in order to complete your transaction.

You can edit the products and quantities in your shopping basket by clicking on "View Basket" (again found along the purple bar at the top of every page). To alter the quantity: change the number in the quantity box; or, to remove a product: tick the box under the column titled "remove". Click the "update" button to confirm your changes.

Delivery

Goods will normally be despatched within 1 working day from placing an order and should arrive at their delivery destination within 6 working days. All goods, other than large electrical items such as espresso machines and coffee grinders, are sent by Royal Mail.

We only accept orders for delivery to destinations in the UK.

If there is a delay in despatching your order (or any part of it) you will be notified via e-mail within 1 working day from placing the order.

When your order is despatched you will be sent an e-mail. This e-mail will contain a more precise schedule of when your order should be delivered. If your order has not arrived after this delivery window has passed, please contact us at: orders@gallacoffee.co.uk, or call on 01507 601599. However, we recommend that you contact your local Royal Mail "Delivery Office" first, as they may be holding the parcel for you.

Shipping

To make charges as fair as possible, shipping is based on the total weight of the items in your shopping basket. All orders over the value of £35 are shipped for FREE.

We appreciate that this scale of charges can be a little confusing, and this is why we provide an "Estimate Delivery Charge" next to the price on each product's page. This estimate is based on ordering one of this item and no other items. The actual shipping charge is calculated on checkout.


Security

All personal details, such as your name and address, are gathered on this website using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) server, certified by Geo Trust. The server uses complex logarithm combinations to encrypt the data sent between itself and your computer, so it cannot be read or tampered with by any malicious third party.

To protect your further, all payment transactions are processed on our behalf by WorldPay Limited. WorldPay, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS), are the market leader in internet payment processing systems and will protect your personal information to the same high standard as that which you would experience through any other channels of the RBS group. All communications with WorldPay are encrypted using a SSL server, and the data storage systems WorldPay uses are regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure environment.

We do not see or store your payment details at any stage during, or after the transaction.

For additional security, we employ the latest in online fraud-prevention, "3-D secure". 3-D secure schemes, such as "MasterCard Secure Code" and "Verified by Visa", are the internet equivalent of "Chip and Pin'. They allow the cardholder to authenticate themselves using a simple password. Although you do not need to be enrolled in a 3-D secure scheme to place an order with us, we would highly recommend that you consider joining for added peace of mind. Please contact your payment card issuer for more details.

Mastercard Secure Code Verified by Visa

As an internet shopper you are also protected from fraudulent use of your payment card by your card issuer. Your card issuer provides you with the right to dispute a transaction if the goods did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.

We are an accredited member of the "SafeBuy Assurance Scheme" and adhere to high standards of internet retailing. SafeBuy regularly vets our systems to ensure we provide a secure environment for payment cards and protect the privacy of personal data.

Privacy Policy

We at Galla Coffee are totally committed to protecting your privacy. We comply with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and the SafeBuy Code of Practice. We collect information about you in order to process your order. That information will only be shared with other parties that are involved in the fulfilment of your order. We do not send random marketing emails (spam).

The information we hold may include:

  • E-mail address
  • Other information necessary for processing your order

We do not hold your payment card details; these are held securely by WorldPay Limited (see 'Security' section for more information) and never seen by us.

This data will be held in accordance with our internal security policy. If we propose to send your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) we will seek your consent first.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your agreement. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information which we are holding on you and we will provide this for a small fee. We will delete information or correct any inaccuracies at no charge as soon as you make the request.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the "Remember Me" Option. We also use cookies to track your behaviour on our site to assist in site improvements. You can disable cookies on your web browser; however, you will not be able to place an order whilst they are blocked.

Data will only be released to third parties, such as the police, on request where there is a legal requirement for us to do so.


Returns

30 Day No-Quibble Guarantee

We understand that sometimes when you order over the Internet, when the goods arrive in your home they are not quite what you expected. This is why we offer a 30 Day No Quibble Guarantee. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us provided it is in the original manufacturer's packaging (including all instructions) and in unused condition. We will refund your money, including the original shipping charges, within 14 days.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.

Under this returns policy you must return the goods to us at you own expense. You are also responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods, so you should ensure that all items are packaged securely and take out enough postal insurance to cover their value.

This returns policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Damaged or Faulty Items

Should your goods arrive faulty, incorrect or damaged; we will either (at your option): exchange such goods; or refund in full the price you paid for the goods.

Under this returns policy we will reimburse your costs in returning goods to us. If the goods are to be exchanged, we will issue a refund to your payment card for postage costs. If you require a full refund a separate cheque will be issued for postage costs.

As we are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when returning goods we ask that you do not pay extra for insurance or other services, such as "Recorded Delivery". Please obtain "proof of postage", as this is all we will require should the goods be lost or damaged.


All goods should be returned to: Galla Coffee, Unit 2 Warwick Road, Fairfield Industrial Estate, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 0YB; in the following manner:

  • Goods should be securely packaged and adequately sealed. If goods are being returned under the "30 Day No Quibble Guarantee" they must be in the original manufacturer's packaging and in unused condition;
  • Complete the returns section on your receipt and return the whole receipt with your goods. This will ensure you receive your refund or replacement goods promptly;
  • Please ensure that you have addressed the package clearly with the Galla Coffee address;
  • Make sure that you obtain proof of posting from the Post Office to avoid problems should the goods be lost or damaged in transit.
